About The Position

The Founding Account Executive will help build pmtbox’s sales motion alongside the Head of Sales. This early-stage role owns the full sales process, from identifying prospective merchants and creating pipeline through discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, closing, and handoff. The hire will help shape the company’s go-to-market strategy by experimenting with approaches, sharing market feedback, and refining sales processes as the company scales. The role involves traveling to different U.S. cities at least twice per month to meet prospective customers, build relationships, and develop new markets. The company is open to proven mid-market sellers and exceptional full-cycle SMB account executives ready for larger, more complex opportunities. pmtbox seeks an entrepreneurial, resilient, curious, persistent, resourceful, disciplined, and accountable salesperson who is comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to build rather than rely on an established sales machine. The position is based in an in-office culture five days a week. pmtbox describes itself as an early-stage, VC-backed fintech with a small team and high ownership, focused on ecommerce infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in a full-cycle B2B sales role, ideally selling to SMB or mid-market customers.

  • Strong discovery, objection-handling, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and communicate business value to decision-makers.
  • Discipline in managing a healthy pipeline, prioritizing opportunities, and forecasting realistically.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to act decisively without needing every answer upfront.
