About The Position

Forum Ventures’ AI Studio is seeking a founder to explore and build a B2B SaaS company addressing insurance gaps created by AI-assisted and autonomous work. Insurance policies often rely on being able to identify who performed work, while AI complicates that attribution. The industry has responded with exclusions, creating an opportunity to produce evidence that could help restore coverage.

Potential areas include proof-of-review records showing that licensed professionals reviewed AI-generated work; evidence and carrier partnerships to restore coverage for contractors using AI estimating and planning tools; attribution data for underwriting teleoperated and supervised-autonomy robotics; and delegation records or guarantees for AI-agent commerce transactions.

Forum supports founders with a $250,000 USD investment, fundraising preparation and investor networks, validation resources, an experienced operating team, go-to-market support to target $50,000–$100,000 ARR, help developing an MVP, a community of mentors and peers, and $100,000 worth of business perks. This is a founder opportunity and is explicitly not an employment opportunity with Forum Ventures.

Requirements

• Early-stage operator experience with a proven track record in insurance, insurtech, or risk infrastructure.
• Experience relevant to insurance underwriting, product, or distribution; placing professional liability, E&O, or contractor coverage; or building fraud, chargeback, or risk-scoring infrastructure in payments or commerce.
• Ability to attract, hire, and lead world-class teams.
• Demonstrated passion for technology’s ability to change the world.
• Desire to become a venture-backed founder.
• Based in Canada or the United States and able to collaborate in North American time zones.
• A clear understanding of where insurance is not working for AI and determination to address the problem.

Nice To Haves

• Experience running underwriting, product, or distribution at a carrier, MGA, or insurtech, with knowledge of how carrier partnerships are signed.
• Experience placing professional liability, E&O, or contractor coverage as a broker and seeing AI exclusions affect clients.
• Experience building fraud, chargeback, or risk-scoring infrastructure in payments or commerce.
• Experience selling software to carriers.

Responsibilities

• Explore and build a company addressing an insurance problem arising from AI-assisted or autonomous work.
• Develop solutions in areas such as professional proof of review, restoring contractor coverage, underwriting hybrid human-machine work, or guarantees for AI-agent commerce.
• Attract, hire, and lead a world-class team.
• Work with Forum’s support to validate the opportunity, unlock the ideal customer profile, build a sales pipeline, develop an MVP, and execute a go-to-market strategy.
• Pursue venture funding, with Forum providing fundraising support and a network for seed and Series A fundraising.
