About The Position
Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS) is hiring a Foster Care Case Manager to provide child welfare services, counseling, and case management to individuals, families, and groups, including birth, foster, and adoptive families. The role supports clients in meeting their goals through consistent contact and helps maintain accurate, complete client records. December 2026 graduates are welcome to apply. The position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or another Human Behavior Science field.
- Licensed driver with access to a reliable automobile to meet direct-service expectations in clients’ homes and communities; the automobile must be insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
- Passion for making a difference and supporting families through life’s challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain child welfare services, counseling, and case management to individuals, families, and groups, including birth, foster, and adoptive families, in accordance with agency policy.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and help them meet their goals through regular, consistent, face-to-face or virtual contact.
- Maintain complete client files and enter progress notes, data, and reports into the required database accurately and on time.
