Forward Deployment (FD) Agentic Solutions Consultant - Sales

Patra Corporation•UNAVAILABLE, UNAVAILABLE

About The Position

Patra is an outcome-focused operating partner working exclusively for the insurance industry. It combines expert global teams, process intelligence, and purpose-built technology to deliver measurable client results. With 20 years of domain expertise and sustained investment in AI, Patra partners with agencies, brokers, MGAs, MGUs, and carriers to transform insurance operations. The Forward Deployment (FD) Agentic Solutions Consultant partners with Patra’s Client Experience (CX) and Sales teams to demonstrate how targeted insurance processes could be reengineered with agentic AI. The consultant joins client conversations to understand current operations, collaborates on opportunities for AI agents, and rapidly builds working prototypes and future-state journey maps. Prototypes run in synthetic environments that mirror client operations and help clients test realistic scenarios and commit to opportunities. They also serve as blueprints for FD squads building proof-of-concept and production systems. This is a client-facing builder role for someone who understands insurance operations and can turn complex manual processes into clear agent-plus-expert designs. The consultant presents prototypes and business cases, helps secure realistic client commitments, and hands off designs and requirements to delivery teams. The role includes periodic client site visits of up to 25% and hours primarily aligned with US client and Sales schedules, with occasional overlap with delivery teams in India and the Philippines.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in insurance operations, distribution, or Insurtech, with direct exposure to agency, broker, MGA, or carrier workflows.
  • 2+ years designing, building, or owning AI or automation solutions in a product manager, solutions or sales engineer, or consultant capacity, with at least some solutions taken into production.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build working agentic AI prototypes with real AI tools and frameworks, including synthetic data and mock systems, rather than slides or click-through demos.
  • Hands-on understanding of LLM-based systems, including agent workflow design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt and schema design, and evaluation.
  • Strong discovery and listening skills, including facilitating client working sessions, uncovering actual process steps, and translating processes into current- and future-state journey maps.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, CX, or account teams in pre-sales, solution design, or client advisory settings.
  • Ability to frame automation business cases in terms of cost, cycle time, and accuracy, ideally supported by results delivered.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and operations staff.
  • Comfort presenting prototypes and business cases to client executives, including C-suite stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of one or more relevant lines of business: Retail P&C/personal lines (auto, home, umbrella); Commercial P&C, including E&S and specialty lines such as D&O, EPL, Tech E&O, cyber, and professional liability; or Retail Employee Benefits (group health, life, disability, and voluntary benefits).
  • A portfolio of agentic AI prototypes to present, ideally for insurance or other document-heavy service operations.
  • Experience with document-heavy workflows such as applications and submissions, bind bundles, policy documents, endorsements and renewals, certificates, and benefits enrollment and census data.
  • Enterprise AI governance experience, including usage policies, model approval, vendor vetting, and risk frameworks.
  • Technical depth in Python and AWS, and familiarity with insurance operations systems such as CRMs, agency and policy management systems, benefits administration platforms, and integration and API tools.
  • Graduate coursework or a degree in computer science, AI, or machine learning.
  • Partner or channel experience with wholesalers and brokerages.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams across the US, India, and the Philippines.

Responsibilities

  • Join client meetings and working sessions with CX and Sales to understand goals, pain points, and current processes, including submission intake, enrichment, classification, quoting, bind checking, policy checking, and certificates.
  • Identify where agentic AI may create value and help qualify and prioritize processes with account teams.
  • Document current-state journey maps showing process steps, handoffs, systems, documents, and people.
  • Facilitate client and account-team ideation on AI-enabled process redesign and document future-state journey maps.
  • Rapidly build working agentic AI prototypes using real AI tools in synthetic environments with mock systems, documents, and data modeled on client operations.
  • Design the agent-plus-expert model for each prototype, defining agent tasks, human reviews, and escalation points.
  • Iterate on prototypes based on client feedback to make the value proposition clear and credible.
  • Present prototypes and journey maps to client stakeholders, including operations leaders and executives, in business terms.
  • Partner with Sales to develop business cases covering estimated cost replaced, cycle time reduced, errors avoided, and baseline POC KPIs.
  • Help shape proposals, POC scope, and success criteria so client commitments are realistic and deliverable.
  • Hand off prototypes, journey maps, and requirements to FD squads for POC and production builds.
  • Follow Patra AI governance standards, including use of approved models and tools and synthetic data instead of real client data.
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of prototypes, synthetic data sets, and journey-map templates, and share field insights with Patra’s product team.
  • Travel periodically to client sites for discovery sessions, ideation workshops, and prototype presentations, up to 25%.
