About The Position

FluxCap is hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to build software that helps lawyers connect the law, evidence, and strategy of a case, initially focusing on antitrust and expanding across complex litigation. The engineer will work directly with lawyers using FluxCap to understand challenges and build solutions, following projects from initial conversations through production and observing their performance in real cases. Work may include bringing large document collections into a case, helping lawyers trace arguments to evidence, and improving review and correction of AI-generated work. The engineer will partner with legal engineers and work closely with the CTO and experienced software engineers on project scoping, technical decisions, and code review. FluxCap welcomes earlier-career engineers with strong fundamentals and experience building working software. The role begins with a focused project, with responsibility growing as the engineer learns the product and domain. In the first few months, the engineer will learn how lawyers build a case, ship an improvement with team support, incorporate feedback, and eventually take responsibility for a larger workflow and help decide what to build next. This is a hybrid role based in New York City and includes travel to customer sites. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not currently available.

  • Authorization to work in the United States; the company is not currently able to sponsor visas.
