About The Position

Palantir’s Forward Deployed Software Engineers work directly with customers to understand complex challenges and build solutions using business-critical data and AI. They collaborate with customer teams and stakeholders to design and implement technology that supports important operational missions across industries and institutions.

FDSEs work in small, agile teams and own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects, from ideation through deployment. The role combines the autonomy of a startup with the resources, mentorship, and stability of an established technology company. Employees are encouraged to work from Palantir offices; many teams offer hybrid arrangements, while remote work is available for a limited number of roles on an exceptional basis.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant post-college work experience.
• A strong engineering background; relevant fields include Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science.
• Strong coding ability and demonstrated proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Ability and interest to travel up to 25% as needed to client sites; travel arrangements are flexible based on personal preferences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers on architecture and design decisions.
• Work with large-scale data and use AI to accelerate and enhance critical operations.
• Develop custom applications tailored to customer needs.
• Engage directly with customer stakeholders, from technical teams to executives.
• Shape team strategy and drive projects from ideation to deployment.
• Own end-to-end execution and implementation of high-stakes projects.
