About The Position

Miro’s Professional Services organization helps enterprise customers achieve outcomes through its Innovation Workspace. As a Forward Deployed Consultant specializing in Manufacturing, you will apply AI solutions to transform and automate core operating processes at industrial enterprises. You will work directly with C-level executives to identify high-impact opportunities, build and test enterprise-grade solutions using customer data and systems, and drive measurable business outcomes. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology. You will partner with an Account Executive on named accounts, identify valuable business problems, and demonstrate how they can be solved. You will provide dedicated manufacturing expertise to pursuits led by generalist Forward Deployed Consultants. You will shape executive AI transformation agendas, qualify opportunities, and lead Validation Sprints from charter through solution build, testing, and readout. You will redesign manufacturing workflows around AI-first principles, develop value stories and ROI models, support executive readouts, and work with the Account Executive to turn successful Sprint outcomes into partnership proposals. You will also define post-sale Professional Services involvement, hand off work, and share learnings internally and externally.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in top-tier consulting, forward deployed engineering, solution consulting, or enterprise transformation, weighted toward manufacturing and industrial environments.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operating processes, including NPI and stage-gate/APQP, engineering change management, quality systems such as FMEA, 8D, and PPAP, S&OP and production planning, lean and continuous improvement, and maintenance and reliability.
  • Fluency with industrial enterprise systems, including ERP (such as SAP), PLM (such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or 3DEXPERIENCE), MES, and quality management systems, and understanding of where their data resides.
  • Credibility with COO, Chief Supply Chain Officer, VP Operations, VP Quality, and Plant General Manager stakeholders.
  • Strong GenAI skills, including Miro, Cursor, Claude Code and Cowork, ChatGPT, Google and Microsoft suites, MCP integrations, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
  • Ability to build working solutions independently and orchestrate an AI Engineer when a build requires it.
  • Ability to develop before-and-after value stories with financial and ROI analysis that withstands finance scrutiny.
  • Business-problem-first rather than product-first mindset, with curiosity to analyze and redesign processes.
  • Comfort working in both boardroom and plant environments.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in ambiguous situations.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 40%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initial C-level conversations to build awareness of AI opportunities for the business.
  • Qualify opportunities before committing to a Validation Sprint, including assessing sponsor authority, commitment, and potential for a multi-year, seven-figure relationship.
  • Co-author Validation Sprint charters with the Account Executive, covering the business problem, value, approach, exit criteria, and proposed partnership after success.
  • Run Validation Sprints end to end: immerse, prioritize, build, and present results using customer data and systems.
  • Analyze and redesign manufacturing processes using AI-first principles across new product development and gate review; quality and continuous improvement; portfolio and program management; operations and launch readiness; and process development and transformation.
  • Build with Miro AI Workflows, Prototypes, and Goals, Roadmaps & Delivery capabilities, extending them through Miro API, WebSDK, and MCP integrations into ERP, PLM, MES, and quality systems.
  • Develop business value stories, ROI models, and KPI baselines using customer metrics such as gate cycle time, requirement coverage at gate, defect recurrence, cost of poor quality, capacity utilization, on-time launch rate, and ramp-to-full-rate time.
  • Support executive leadership in delivering Value Story readouts to sponsors.
  • Co-own with the Account Executive the conversion of Sprint outcomes into partnership proposals and commercial approaches.
  • Define the scope of post-sale Professional Services involvement and complete a clean handoff.
  • Package and share learnings with Sales, Marketing, and Product, and through external thought leadership.
