About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves packages, solar panels, and related materials around warehouse and shipping facilities. The role involves operating a forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, stage, and store materials in the appropriate locations. The operator supports shipping and receiving, inventory accuracy, workflow, and production schedules while following OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.

The position requires daily equipment inspections, prompt reporting of maintenance or safety concerns, and keeping work areas clean and organized. The operator may work in warehouse, manufacturing, or outdoor environments and must be able to work overtime when needed.

Requirements

• Forklift certification.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Ability to conduct pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Ability to read pick tickets, shipping documents, or inventory labels.
• Ability to stack and store materials accurately.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures and report equipment issues immediately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stage solar panels and related materials in warehouse and shipping areas.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, handling products carefully to prevent damage.
• Conduct daily or pre-shift forklift inspections and report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns.
• Organize inventory and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with shipping and receiving by verifying quantities and inspecting product accuracy and quality.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse documentation and scanning systems.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines and production schedules.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
