About The Position

As a Forklift Operator at 48forty Solutions, you will load and unload trailers containing wooden pallets and move pallets and wood inside the plant to support efficient manufacturing production. The role involves handling freshly cut and recycled wood, stacking finished products, and maintaining a safe work environment while transporting materials. The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and pays $18.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work takes place in a labor-intensive plant environment that may involve exposure to heat, cold, outdoor elements, and airborne particulates. Employees repetitively lift up to 50–75 pounds and may need to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for shifts of varying lengths. Noise levels depend on the work location. Personal protective equipment is required, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations. Requirements

1–3 years of forklift experience.
Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood and move them to the proper location inside the plant.
Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area.
Stack finished products into trailers or storage areas up to a safe height.
Maintain a safe working environment while lifting, stacking, and transporting materials with consideration for other plant personnel.
