About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming raw materials and ensuring they match the appropriate purchase orders. The role supports production by providing the materials needed to produce products at the appropriate times. The position is located at Galdisa USA, Inc. in Conroe, Texas.

Requirements

1–2 years of forklift operator experience.
At least 2 years of receiving/shipping warehouse experience.
1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift in a high drive-in racking system.
Some knowledge of computer programs for data entry.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Procurement regarding incoming deliveries.
Inspect incoming trucks and unload materials onto designated pallets.
Receive shipments and sign paperwork after verifying the load, including quantity, quality, and price.
Inspect shipment contents to ensure they are undamaged.
Label deliveries and allocate them to designated spaces.
Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
Follow all safety regulations, including those for forklift operation.
Keep equipment clean and in safe working condition by performing daily inspections before startup.
Assist with inventory.
Report issues regarding the Food Safety Management System to the Technical Manager and/or Plant Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
