About The Position

KLS Logistics is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock within a warehouse environment. Operators load and unload shipments of various sizes using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The work environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. The role involves operating powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift and handling products for shipment and inventory while following applicable safety standards.

The position is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Pay is $20.19 per hour. A forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment is required. High school diploma or equivalent, six months of warehouse experience, and six months of forklift operation experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other powered equipment for 80% of the shift.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to support inventory accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, including load count, stability, and product condition, and report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
• Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
