Dry End Operator
About The Position
Dry End operators set up, run, and clean up the slitter, glue station, and other laminator dry end equipment. Dry End operators report to laminator supervisors. Dry End operator’s duties/responsibilities include: following all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures. reading factory work orders and machine schedules to learn customer specifications. entering appropriate data and settings into laminator control systems. performing any dry end component set up and operations. initiating order changes. verifying (measuring) sheets to ensure that sheet sizes and score locations conform to customer specifications. checking other board quality characteristics such as color, caliper, line-ups, and bond. setting optimum run speeds. maintaining clean and organized work areas. helping on other parts of the machine as needed completing accurate records performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
