About The Position

The Dry End Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and cleaning the slitter, glue station, and other laminator dry end equipment. This role reports to the laminator supervisor and involves following all plant safety, quality, and product safety rules. The operator will read factory work orders and machine schedules to understand customer specifications, enter data into control systems, perform dry end component setups, and initiate order changes. Key duties include verifying sheet sizes and score locations, checking board quality (color, caliper, line-ups, bond), setting optimal run speeds, maintaining a clean work area, assisting with other machine operations, completing accurate records, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Ability to follow all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures.
Ability to read factory work orders and machine schedules.
Ability to enter appropriate data and settings into laminator control systems.
Ability to perform dry end component set up and operations.
Ability to initiate order changes.
Ability to verify (measure) sheets to ensure that sheet sizes and score locations conform to customer specifications.
Ability to check other board quality characteristics such as color, caliper, line-ups, and bond.
Ability to set optimum run speeds.
Ability to maintain clean and organized work areas.
Ability to help on other parts of the machine as needed.
Ability to complete accurate records.
