About The Position

The Material Handler supports efficient operations by accurately picking and staging lumber, masonry, and building materials for customer orders and deliveries. The role provides courteous, professional customer service in the yard and warehouse; safely loads and unloads trucks; and handles, stacks, and stores materials to protect product integrity and minimize damage. The position also maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment, supports inventory and product transfers, processes paperwork, and promptly reports discrepancies or damaged items. Safety duties include completing forklift inspections, maintaining required certifications, and following OSHA and company safety regulations. This is an experienced, full-time, day-shift position located in Bristol, Rhode Island. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift certification.
Experience operating machinery.
Knowledge of building materials.
Ability to lift 80 pounds above head.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick and stage lumber, masonry, and building materials for customer orders and deliveries.
Assist customers in the yard and warehouse in a polite and professional manner.
Safely load and unload trucks, handling, stacking, and storing materials to maintain product integrity and minimize damage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including general housekeeping, facility upkeep, and proper signage placement.
Pull and stage products for inventory and transfers, process paperwork, and promptly report discrepancies or damaged items.
Complete forklift inspections, maintain required certifications, and follow OSHA and company safety regulations.
