About The Position

Arnold Lumber Company is hiring a Material Handler to support efficient operations by accurately picking and staging lumber, masonry, and building materials for customer orders and deliveries. The role includes assisting customers in the yard and warehouse in a polite, professional manner; safely loading and unloading trucks; and handling, stacking, and storing materials to maintain product integrity and minimize damage. The Material Handler also helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, supports inventory and transfers, processes paperwork, reports discrepancies or damaged items, and follows company and OSHA safety protocols.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift certification.
Experience operating machinery.
Knowledge of building materials.
Ability to lift 80 pounds above head.

Construction or home improvement industry experience.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick and stage lumber, masonry, and building materials for customer orders and deliveries.
Assist customers in the yard and warehouse in a polite and professional manner.
Safely load and unload trucks, handling, stacking, and storing materials to maintain product integrity and minimize damage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including general housekeeping, facility upkeep, and proper signage placement.
Support inventory and transfers by pulling and staging products accurately and processing paperwork.
Promptly report discrepancies and damaged items.
Follow safety protocols, complete forklift inspections, maintain required certifications, and adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations.
