About The Position

Riverdale Mills is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator / Material Handler to keep materials moving safely throughout its manufacturing facility. The role involves transporting raw materials, work in process, and finished goods between production, storage, and shipping areas, while supporting production and keeping materials organized. Local candidates only; relocation is not available. The available shift is 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Previous forklift operating experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to safely identify, move, and stage materials in an active industrial environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work well with production, shipping, and warehouse teams.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to remain active throughout the shift in a large manufacturing facility.

Nice To Haves

• Material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Candidates with forklift and material handling experience in warehouse, distribution, construction supply, steel, or other industrial settings are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely around employees and production equipment.
• Move raw materials, work in process, and finished goods between production, storage, and shipping areas.
• Load, unload, and stage materials; supply production areas and remove completed products.
• Verify material identification and quantities, maintain accurate material locations, and keep storage areas organized.
• Inspect lift trucks before use, report safety or mechanical concerns, and follow plant safety procedures.
