About The Position

The Forklift Operator/Material Handler provides customer service by accurately pulling, packaging, converting, shipping, and loading orders, ensuring they are free from visible damage or defects. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 p.m. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse experience.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis.
• Experience operating a stand-up reach truck, cherry picker, order picker, and electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, stage, or convert orders for shipment using computer-generated work orders or verbal instructions from a supervisor.
• Package materials according to shipping requirements or customer instructions and ensure product and shipping labels are legible. Include job and order numbers on order tickets.
• Use computer equipment to generate labels, check stock, enter shipping-status data, prepare UPS/FedEx shipments, and create shipping manifests.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring trucks are chocked, truck beds are clear and safe for entry and exit, incoming product is undamaged and matches the packing list or return authorization, and freight is positioned and secured properly.
• Secure loads for delivery.
• Complete and maintain forms and records accurately and legibly.
• Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
• Comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
