About The Position

Auer Steel & Heating Supply Co. is hiring a Forklift Operator/Material Handler at its Plymouth, Minnesota location. The role involves selecting, staging, and delivering materials for customer pickup and shipment, as well as helping customers and drivers load vehicles. The position is on second shift, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., or until the job is done, and includes a $1.00 shift differential. Auer Steel is a wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies and has operated since 1940.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Organized, responsible, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Select and count materials according to the shipping slip.
• Stage and tag selected orders.
• Deliver materials to the will-call or shipping areas.
• Assist customers and/or drivers with loading materials into vehicles and trucks.
• Make labels for non-stock and special items.
• Pick will-call and Auer truck orders.
• Stage orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
