Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies is seeking a Forklift Operator I for its Puyallup, Washington plant. Forklift Operators support Insulfoam departments by moving materials and products, organizing the warehouse, inspecting finished goods, putting production-line output into designated warehouse locations, and loading and unloading customer trucks. They may fill in for other plant roles, such as Machine Operator, as business needs dictate. The standard work week is 40 hours, with occasional overtime and no travel required. The position typically works Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient and outside temperatures, dust, mechanical parts and pinch points, and increased noise. Work may involve 8–10 hours per shift depending on the schedule and business needs, and flexibility for overtime and weekend hours may be required. The operator uses a propane sit-down forklift and may use radios, calculators, measuring devices, hand tools, and computers for shop-floor and ERP tasks. Required protective equipment includes eye and hearing protection, safety-toe shoes, and high-visibility vests, along with other PPE as directed by management. The posted starting pay is $24.52 per hour; the Washington salary range is $24.25–$25.25, with actual pay potentially higher based on education, experience, and other qualifying skills.
