About The Position

Operate a forklift truck to transport materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between storage, production, and similar areas. The role receives directions from leadership and inventory regarding departmental material needs, performs related material-handling tasks, and assists coworkers. When not operating the forklift, the driver may fill in on other jobs of equal or lesser difficulty. The position also involves keeping the forklift clean and properly serviced, reporting defective operating conditions, and interacting professionally with employees.

Requirements

• Forklift certification.
• Stand-up/reach forklift qualification.
• Ability to lift, carry, or push work-in-process weighing 50 to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between storage, production, and similar areas using a forklift.
• Receive verbal directions from leadership and inventory regarding material needs for various departments.
• Perform related material-handling functions in the assigned work area and assist others as required.
• Fill in on other jobs of equal or fewer difficulties when needed and when not running the forklift.
• Keep the forklift clean and properly serviced to ensure continued operation.
• Notify others of defective operating conditions and make the forklift available for repairs.
• Interact professionally with employees.
