About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Foreperson to oversee and direct staff, ensuring work is completed productively and on time. The role includes planning and coordinating crew activities and resources, training team members, enforcing safety standards, and monitoring work orders, staffing, costs, materials, and equipment. The Foreperson also supervises and participates in the layout, design, and fabrication of signs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of prior related work experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.

Nice To Haves

• One year of prior leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, schedule, and evaluate the work, activities, and resources of crews or team members.
• Instruct and train employees in performing their duties and properly using equipment.
• Enforce and abide by safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate work across multiple teams on joint projects.
• Schedule and assign active work orders and monitor backlog, staffing requirements and capabilities, and previous work carryover.
• Develop work plans and cost estimates by analyzing tasks and determining required resources.
• Estimate costs for direct labor, materials, tools, equipment, and contract services, and track actual costs against estimates.
• Ensure work-related materials and labor are entered into the work management system.
• Enforce departmental policies, procedures, and safety rules and regulations.
• Supervise and participate in the layout, design, and fabrication of signs.
• Write specifications and orders, and maintain an inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.
