About The Position

Preventing and detecting fraud is all about identifying potential risks – using existing trends and emerging technology to accelerate intelligent decision making and build more efficient finance functions. Our clients look to us to make it happen, and as a Forensic Data Analytics Senior, you will be right at the heart of that goal. It is a role with far-reaching implications, so you will be working with stakeholders across industries with some of the most innovative tools available. Our Forensic Data Analytics team is working with industry leading anti-fraud and forensic data analytics technologies to develop innovative recommendations for some of the most challenging fraud and risk issues around. Since we work with such a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, you can expect to take on a wide range of big data challenges, making this a great place to develop your technical and business knowledge.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, analytics, finance, business, statistics, economics or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Achieved, or be working towards a professional designation, such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), CFE, or CFCE
  • A proven record of success in data analysis and data science, and an in-depth knowledge of SQL, and other leading database technologies, statistical analysis packages such as SPSS, SAS or scripting languages such as Python or R
  • Excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to solve data problems independently and be a self-starter
  • Familiarity of Hadoop-based technologies
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Nice To Haves

  • A strong working knowledge of data visualization tools such as PowerBI

  • Take responsibility for high quality execution and delivery of specific parts of a Data Analytics engagement
  • Develop yourself and others through seeking and offering on-the-job coaching
  • Oversee multiple projects ensuring the work meets the client’s needs
  • Use technology to continually learn and share your knowledge with other team members
  • Nurture relationships with professionals in other service lines and seek opportunities to work together
  • Maintain a strong focus on the client and be responsive to their requests
  • Balance your time between engagement planning with other Data Analytics team members and actively analyzing complex data
  • Use your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines
  • Think differently about the role of data analytics in the support of litigation and fraud investigations and speaking up with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo
