About The Position

EY's Government Contract Services (GCS) team assists businesses that contract with and participate in programs sponsored by U.S. state and federal government entities. We provide support not only in understanding and complying with federal and state contract and program obligations but also in making informed operational decisions that help maintain a competitive advantage in the market while ensuring our clients meet their compliance requirements. A key component of GCS’s services offerings is integrating and leveraging technology and data analytics throughout our processes. We have, and are expanding, our team of digital professionals who support new analytics tool development, user-facing application support, and project-based data analytics and visualization. Our GCS team works with industry-leading clients to develop innovative recommendations to some of the most challenging compliance risks and market opportunities that they face. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working with U.S. state or federal regulatory programs, preferably including DCAA, FAR, CAS, Medicare, Medicaid, FSS, DFARS or Medicare, Medicaid, Federal Supply Schedules, and/or the 340B Drug Pricing Program
  • Achieved or be capable of obtaining a relevant professional certification, such as a CPA, CFA, CFE, EnCE, CAP, CCEP or IGP
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong knowledge of PC-based tools (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Nice To Haves

  • A working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, MS PowerBI)
  • A working knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., MS Access, MS SQL Server)
  • A working knowledge of agentic AI tools (e.g., MS Copilot)
  • A working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
  • Experience managing Staff on multiple projects

Responsibilities

  • Balance time between engagement planning with other GCS members, actively analyzing complex data, and participating in GCS practice development.
  • Use skills across the entire spectrum of contract services: allowable costs, audits, business systems, investigations, and government pricing.
  • Use technical skills to creatively assess and resolve client needs and manage engagement teams to drive execution on engagements.
  • Think critically about the value EY can bring to clients, take initiative to research regulatory information and industry insights, and speak up with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines, build relationships, and identify opportunities for clients to benefit from EY's expertise in other areas.
  • Take responsibility for high quality execution and delivery of specific parts of a client engagement.
  • Develop yourself and others through seeking and offering on-the-job coaching.
  • Support multiple projects ensuring the work meets the client’s needs.
  • Use technology to continually learn and share knowledge with other team members.
