About The Position

Ankura’s Forensic Data & Analytics practice develops innovative, technology-driven approaches to clients’ data-related challenges. The team transforms large volumes of disparate data into insights that inform critical decisions and provides analytics and advisory services for regulatory and fraud investigations, litigation and disputes, business process automation and improvement, and business intelligence and automated reporting.

The Associate works collaboratively across Ankura’s multidisciplinary areas of expertise and contributes to engagement delivery. Ankura provides training, mentorship, and performance feedback to support continuous development. This is a hybrid position based in one of Ankura’s offices, ideally Chicago, Washington, D.C., or New York.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, MIS, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or another analytical area.
• At least 1 year of experience using SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with database programming languages and applications, including SQL, PL/SQL, MS SQL, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, C#, VBA, and PHP.
• Familiarity with ETL software and data visualization tools such as SSIS, Pentaho Data Integration, Tableau, Power BI, and Spotfire.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, including Relativity and predictive coding applications.
• Strong interest or experience in using technology to solve complex data problems.
• Ability to contribute to team-oriented projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Advanced decision-making, problem-solving, and logic-based skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to prepare high-quality work under strict deadlines.
• Ability to interact confidently with senior team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, quantitative, and organizational skills.

• Additional experience with Tableau, Power BI, R, and/or cloud-based analytics platforms such as Databricks or BigQuery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day engagement activities, interacting with team members and client contacts.
