About The Position

ING Americas is seeking a Data Management and Analytics Professional to connect data governance with practical delivery. The role helps ensure data deliveries, reporting solutions, and analytics capabilities are compliant by design, while identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and automate recurring activities. The position works across business, data, technology, risk, and regulatory requirements to support trusted data outcomes, operational efficiency, and audit and regulatory readiness. The role is part of the Regional Data Office Americas within COO Wholesale Banking Americas. The office drives local execution of ING’s data strategy and supports implementation of data governance, data quality, data protection, reporting, model, and End User Computing control requirements across ING Americas. The position reports hierarchically to the Regional Chief Data Officer / Lead Regional Data Office Americas and collaborates with business lines, Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology, data owners, data users, data stewards, and global Data Management teams.

Requirements

3–5+ years of professional experience in data transformation, program delivery, change execution, or regulatory-driven initiatives within financial services.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, controls, auditability, and compliant data delivery across the data lifecycle.
Ability to identify automation opportunities and translate business and control requirements into scalable, practical, and measurable solutions.
Experience working with minimum supervision and providing guidance as required on identifying, managing, and controlling project-related changes.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including cross-functional experience.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership abilities.
Clear and effective verbal communication skills, including providing technical guidance to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans or policies.
Proactive, influential, detail-oriented, and self-motivated approach; ability to navigate complex cross-functional initiatives, balance priorities, simplify technical concepts, adapt to ambiguity, and build trust.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of or experience in wholesale banking business, operations, and/or IT.
Experience in Risk and/or Internal Control Management.
Experience with tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Azure-native data-governance services.

Responsibilities

Support compliant end-to-end data delivery by embedding governance, quality, lineage, protection, reporting, and control requirements into data-solution design and implementation.
Support adoption of ING’s strategic data platforms and tools, including VISTA, Collibra, SODA, and other data-governance and analytics capabilities.
Use analytics and automation to identify trends, control gaps, data-quality issues, and process-improvement opportunities.
Establish transparent progress monitoring using metrics, dashboards, heatmaps, risk indicators, and management reporting.
Maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness, including requirements, decisions, controls, evidence, risks, issues, and remediation activities.
Advise the Data Community on ING’s ambition toward compliance by design.
Assist with presentations, training materials, and knowledge-sharing sessions for the data community.
