About The Position

The Foreman at Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas, will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of a construction crew, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in energy services construction, and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; further technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role, specifically within energy services or heavy industrial construction.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices (OSHA 10/30 certification preferred).
  • Proficient in operating various heavy equipment relevant to energy services construction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a crew of workers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Operate heavy equipment and machinery as needed, demonstrating proficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Prepare daily reports, including progress updates, material usage, and equipment logs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
