About The Position

Johnson Service Company, a division of Midlands Contracting, Inc., is seeking a Foreman to join our growing construction team. This position is based throughout Eastern Nebraska, and you can live anywhere in the region. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, dependability, and a willingness to travel. Most projects require being out of town Monday–Friday (home on weekends). The company provides hotel accommodations and a nightly per diem for meals while working out of town. This role offers year-round employment with no winter layoffs.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Class A or B CDL required (or the ability and desire to obtain one).
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently and assist with heavier loads as needed.
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Subject to an MVR and criminal history report.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pipeline cleaning and televising is preferred but not required—training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a two-person crew effectively.
  • Manage projects, including communication with city employees and engineers while maintaining professionalism.
  • Troubleshoot and manage difficult situations encountered during cleaning and televising operations.
  • Operate a pipeline observation computer system for televising (training provided).
  • Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs of combo trucks used for jetting and vacuuming pipelines.
  • Track and enter daily manhours and production quantities.
  • Document performance feedback or issues clearly and professionally.
  • Abide by all company safety rules (safety training provided).
