About The Position

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join its rapidly growing team in the Garden City office. The role supports foreclosure matters from referral through conclusion, including handling time-sensitive deadlines, communicating with clients, and preparing and filing legal documents. The ideal candidate has broad foreclosure experience, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to grow with the firm.

Requirements

At least 2 years of related foreclosure experience.
Broad knowledge of real estate default services.
Superior organizational, research, and writing skills.
Detail-oriented.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Able to manage a heavy workload.
Confident and comfortable on the phone.
Able to work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

Experience with LPS, Caseaware, Tempo, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Draft motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
E-file documents with various court systems.
Record documents.
Maintain client and case files and the filing/document system.
Correspond with clients and provide updates and timely responses.
Organize and maintain the group's calendars and provide for and adhere to legal deadlines.
Organize and archive documents related to completed and ongoing litigations.
Prepare reports for attorneys.
Manage foreclosure matters from referral through conclusion, including ordering title, obtaining payoffs, and preparing deeds, assignments, and letters.
