About The Position

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join its rapidly growing team in the Garden City office. The role calls for broad foreclosure experience, including managing foreclosure matters from referral through conclusion, ordering title, obtaining payoffs, and preparing deeds, assignments, and letters. The candidate will handle time-sensitive deadlines and provide clients with timely updates and responses.

Requirements

At least two years of related foreclosure experience.
Broad knowledge of real estate default services.
Superior organizational, research, and writing skills.
Detail oriented.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Able to manage a heavy workload.
Confident and comfortable on the phone.
Able to work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

Experience with LPS, Caseaware, Tempo, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Draft motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
E-file documents with various court systems.
Record documents.
Maintain client and case files.
Correspond with clients and provide updates.
Maintain the filing and document system.
Organize and maintain the group's calendars and provide and adhere to legal deadlines.
Organize and archive documents related to completed and ongoing litigations.
Prepare reports for attorneys.
Manage foreclosure matters from referral through conclusion, including ordering title, obtaining payoffs, and preparing deeds, assignments, and letters.
