About The Position

ALAW is seeking a Legal Assistant for its Louisiana foreclosure practice in Metairie. The position involves substantive drafting work under direct attorney supervision, with training in firm procedures and client systems. It is suited to a candidate with 1–2 years of legal experience who wants to develop expertise in a specialized practice area. This is a full-time, in-office position at 3500 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 465, Metairie, LA 70002. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an 8-hour shift and overtime as needed. Founded in 1997, Albertelli Law (ALAW) is a nationwide law firm providing legal representation to financial institutions. Its services include foreclosure proceedings and other specialized legal services. Requirements

1–2 years of legal experience in a law firm, court, or legal department.
Accuracy and organization in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based case management systems.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Foreclosure experience preferred; bank, mortgage lending or servicing, or title experience also considered.
Familiarity with Louisiana civil procedure and court filing requirements is a plus.
Ability to review chain of title is preferred.

Responsibilities

Draft petitions for executory process and ordinary process, along with related motions and orders, for attorney review.
Monitor court dockets, sheriff’s sale schedules, and public records for case status and recordings.
Perform quality-control reviews of files before filing and before and after sale.
Communicate with clients and update account status in multiple client systems.
Handle original documents, recordings, and court filings.
