About The Position

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to join its growing team in Tampa, Florida. The attorney will draft complex motions, handle court appearances, and work closely with clients, court personnel, and opposing parties. This role involves managing foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, and other related default services matters in a fast-paced environment. The attorney will also oversee and mentor support staff and review paralegal work to ensure legal documents and correspondence meet the firm's standards for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience handling foreclosure matters in Florida.
Admission to practice law in Florida.
Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong legal writing and drafting skills, particularly for complex motions and legal documents.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, adversaries, and court personnel.
Leadership ability to manage and guide support staff.
Proactive, independent work style and eagerness to learn and grow within the firm.

Responsibilities

Appear in court to argue motions, handle oral arguments, and participate in mediations related to foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, and other default services matters.
Communicate with clients, investors, and adversaries to support the timely progress and resolution of foreclosure cases.
Build and maintain professional relationships with court personnel to manage case timelines, filings, and procedural requirements.
Oversee and mentor support staff, providing guidance on legal documentation and client communication tasks.
Draft and manage the preparation of complex motions to advance cases through litigation and loss mitigation processes.
Review and oversee paralegal work to ensure legal documents and correspondence meet the firm's quality and accuracy standards, including motions, pleadings, settlement and release agreements, payoff and reinstatement letters, status letters, and loss mitigation correspondence.
