About The Position

The Footwear Associate performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a welcoming and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The associate also maintains the sales area and follows company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and adequately stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
