FOOD SVC WORKER
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County in New Albany, Mississippi. The position prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, helping nourish patients, caregivers, and the community while meeting quality, service, food safety, and sanitation standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with rotating weekends required. The pay range is $14.00 to $16.00 per hour. Prior food service experience is required. Morrison Healthcare is part of Compass Group and provides culinary, nutritional, and operational services to health systems. Requirements
- Prior food service experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner while following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
