About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at UF Shands Gainesville in Gainesville, Florida. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, while following food quality, portion control, sanitation, safety, and customer service standards. Previous customer service and dishwashing experience are required. Open availability is preferred; days and hours may vary, with schedule details provided during the interview. Pay is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous dishwashing experience.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Follow approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Meet sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
