Food Service Worker (Part Time)
About The Position
The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The role is with Eurest at Helio Elements Syracuse in Liverpool, New York. This is a part-time position with days and hours that may vary; weekend and holiday work is required. The pay range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled. Associates are expected to follow food safety, sanitation, service, inventory, and cash-control procedures while providing friendly and efficient customer service. The position requires at least one year of food service experience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of food service experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare produce by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and food trays between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following the outlined steps of service.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
