About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at The Sequoias Portola Valley in Portola Valley, California. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The schedule is part time, with days and hours varying; further details are provided during the interview. No prior experience is required, and training is available. The fixed pay rate is $21.25 per hour.

The position is part of Morrison Living’s culinary team, which focuses on hospitality and creating memorable experiences. The job also involves following food safety, sanitation, service, quality, portion-control, inventory, and cash-control standards, and addressing customer concerns by sharing relevant information with a supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
