FOOD SERVICE WORKER (ON CALL)
About The Position
The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at Inspira Mannington in Salem, New Jersey. This is an on-call position with days and hours that may vary, including rotating weekends. No previous experience is required. The pay range is $15.92 to $16.00 per hour. The role supports Morrison Healthcare’s work nourishing patients, caregivers, and communities while meeting standards for quality, service, food safety, and sanitation. The worker prepares ingredients, follows approved recipes and production standards, serves customers, handles supplies and equipment, and helps maintain clean and safe work areas. Requirements
- No previous experience required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Follow approved food recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
