FOOD SERVICE WORKER (PART TIME)
About The Position
The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at an East Pennsboro Area School District location. The position involves food preparation, safe handling and storage, cleaning, customer service, and compliance with food quality, sanitation, safety, inventory, and cash-control standards. This is a part-time role scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Prior food service experience is preferred. The posting notes that there are no nights, weekends, or holidays, and summer is off; however, school-break periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs, and business needs may require year-round work, potentially at another location.

Responsibilities
- Prepare produce by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using appropriate wrapping, dating, food-safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner according to outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
