About The Position
The Food Service Worker works in a local school kitchen or cafeteria, preparing and serving meals and helping maintain a clean, sanitary work area. The role supports food service operations while following USDA, state, and health department requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.
- Positive and consistent work ethic.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the position.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements, which may include standing for long periods, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to and in excess of 40 pounds, and walking.

Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare food.
- Portion and serve food.
- Clean the work area and operate a dish machine.
- Perform light sweeping and mopping.
- Follow sanitation practices in accordance with USDA and state guidelines.

- Assist with monitoring costs and inventory controls.
