About The Position
This position initiates meal service for patients and ensures patients receive their diet according to the prescribed diet order. The role involves processing meal orders, verifying meal selections, assembling trays, delivering meals, and optimizing the patient experience through excellent customer service and meal rounds. The worker will also retrieve trays after meals, utilize excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, and guests, and establish rapport with patients/family members while displaying empathy and compassion. Additionally, the role includes processing and delivering enteral supplies, verifying allergies and preferences, expediting meal service for the assigned area, and collaborating with dining services staff to facilitate meal service. The position requires self-motivation and the ability to work in an unsupervised environment.
Requirements
- High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
- Food Safety certification required within 90 days of job entry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with computer related skills, with knowledge in wireless printing, iPads and hardware maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially phone etiquette.
- Interpersonal skills and organization skills necessary.
- Mist be motivated and able to work independently.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy preferred.
