About The Position

Assists the Director in preparing, delivering, and maintaining food and beverage service for Adult Day Care participants. Keeps the Adult Day Care area clean and orderly. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. The work environment may occasionally involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions; noise is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience working with older persons, preferably with physically and/or emotionally impaired individuals in a therapeutic setting.
Follow policies, procedures, and instructions, and respond to management direction.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
Treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and complete work promptly.
Observe safety and security procedures.
Use equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

Prepare kitchen and dining areas for serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and prepare coffee and tea.
Clean the kitchen and dining area after food service.
Return unused food to the main building following lunch.
Manage inventory orders for kitchen and janitorial service supplies.
Clean the refrigerator and kitchen shelves.
Use the washing machine to wash linens.
Mop kitchen floors and staff restrooms.
Empty all trash at the end of the day.
Perform other duties as assigned.
