About The Position

The Food Service Worker helps prepare and serve nutritious and appetizing meals, drinks, snacks, and desserts to provide residents and their guests with a healthy, positive dining experience. Under general supervision or instructions, the role performs routine food-service tasks in food-production and/or customer-service areas and washes and cleans equipment as assigned. The position is part-time in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, scheduled for 15 hours per pay period from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements

Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to read and follow instructions.
Understanding of proper sanitation procedures.
Ability to operate various cooking equipment and meet state age requirements for operating equipment, as applicable.
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of food-service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport food or supplies to serving areas and ensure service areas are properly set up.
Assemble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment; maintain proper food temperatures in steam tables and correct counter displays.
Stock halls, take orders, portion and serve food, and record portions served according to procedure.
Remove, cover, wrap, label, store, rotate, and discard food and condiments as directed.
Clear soiled dishes and refuse from trays; scrape refuse into garbage containers; load trays and soiled dishes onto conveyors, racks, and carts; and remove and dispose of trash.
Set up and operate the dishwasher.
Clean assigned areas using proper sanitary procedures, including equipment, counters, work and dining tables, chairs, refrigerators, utensils, and dispensers; sweep and mop floors.
Ensure supplies, materials, and equipment are available in assigned work areas, replenish them as necessary, and prepare supplies and materials as required.
Report equipment malfunctions and the need to repair equipment, furniture, buildings, or fixtures.
Perform other duties as requested.
