About The Position

Chartwells K12 is hiring an on-call Food Service Worker/Cashier at Bristol-Warren Regional, 199 Chestnut Street, Bristol, Rhode Island. The position performs cashiering duties and general food service work, maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining facilities. The schedule is on call, with days that may vary, generally from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; further details are provided during the interview. The posting notes no nights, weekends, or holidays, summers and school breaks off, and training is available. The fixed pay rate is $18.30 per hour. The role includes preparing and serving food, keeping work and service areas clean, following food safety and sanitation practices, assisting customers, and processing cash and other payment transactions. Because work takes place in an educational facility, work may not be required during periods when food service needs decline or cease, such as winter and summer breaks. Such periods are unpaid and treated as temporary layoffs; depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at another location during breaks.
