About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring an on-call Cashier/Food Service Worker at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The role operates the point-of-sale system, assists with food preparation and catering orders, prepares coffee, and keeps cashier and coffee stations clean. It also provides service throughout retail areas, including cashiering and serving on the line. The position requires one year of related experience and pays $20.00 to $21.00 per hour. Requirements

• One year of previous related experience.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, and help prepare catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the point-of-sale system.
• Perform general cleaning duties and remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Follow cash-handling procedures, maintain cash accuracy with receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up the serving line, take and record temperatures, and notify cooks when food temperatures are outside acceptable limits.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase each day.
• Keep the refrigerator stocked and rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Stock pantries with correct par levels daily and record replenished amounts on floor stock forms.
• Record refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
