Food Service Utility (Full Time)
About The Position
The Food Service Utility maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. The role is based at Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland, and follows a full-time Monday-through-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The advertised pay range is $17.00 to $18.50 per hour. Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days; a free meal during the shift and cross-training are also offered. Free meals, uniforms, and laundering service are available at select locations. Flik Independent School Dining provides foodservice in private and independent schools, with meals made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and nutrition education programs for students. Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers.
- Steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and product.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
