FOOD SERVICE UTILITY (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Compass Group is hiring a full-time Food Service Utility associate at Mass Maritime Academy. The role maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. The schedule is full time, Sunday through Saturday, with hours that may vary; further details are provided during an interview. Prior food service experience is required. The advertised pay range is $18.25 to $18.50 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the opening is filled. Because the position serves an educational facility, there may be periods when work is not required, such as winter and summer breaks, when food service needs decline or cease. Such periods may be unpaid and treated as temporary layoffs. Depending on business needs, associates may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during breaks.
Requirements
- Prior food service experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the position's essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
