About The Position

The Food Service Utility maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly at Iona University. The role includes cleaning and sanitation duties, moving and distributing supplies and equipment, and assisting with setup and deliveries. This is a part-time position with days and hours that may vary; further schedule details are provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $19.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Prior utility and/or dishwasher experience is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
