About The Position

CPARC is hiring a full-time Food Service/Training Aide at the S. Wilson Pollock Center for Industrial Training. The role supports food service and catering operations through food preparation, deliveries, inventory management, vending machine service, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and delivery van. It also includes providing individualized support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they receive kitchen training, develop vocational skills, and work toward personal goals. The position requires excellent customer service, adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures, and assistance with special events as needed. The schedule is flexible based on catering needs. Starting pay is $16.26 per hour, and the posting offers a $500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Be comfortable with a flexible schedule based on catering needs.
• Be able to stand for up to 7.5 hours per day.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Be dependable, organized, professional, courteous, and passionate about helping others succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of general food service experience is preferred.
• Experience or an interest in working with adults with disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for catering events and specialty menus.
• Deliver goods and catering orders throughout the Harrisburg area.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies.
• Service vending machines.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and delivery van clean and organized.
• Provide individualized support to participants receiving kitchen training, helping them develop skills and work toward personal goals.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with special events as needed.
