About The Position

OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture/partnership/affiliation with Select Medical, is hiring a full-time Food Service Aide in Dublin, Ohio. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Food Service Aide prepares and serves food, supports patient menu selection and diet updates, maintains food-service areas and supplies, and follows food-safety and sanitation requirements. The position pays $17.50–$21.33.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
• Complete scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality.
• Follow sanitation, infection-control, risk-management, and HACCP guidelines to meet regulatory requirements for safe food handling.
• Complete cleaning duties, including pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Assist patients with menu selections and offer alternatives in accordance with food allergies, sensitivities, and cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system; print and distribute reports, tallies, menus, and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
• Perform assigned cafeteria duties, including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling.
