About The Position
The Food Service Team Leader assists with the day-to-day operations of the Food Service departments and helps lead the team. This role supports food preparation, production, merchandising, quality control, food safety, and customer service, while helping drive department sales and manage labor and productivity. The Team Leader is expected to be a positive, motivated servant leader who is eager to learn, communicate, and help the department succeed. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be friendly and customer-service oriented; interest in food and cooking is a plus.
- Be self-motivated and attentive to detail, quality, and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
- Reliably meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery, or similar experience is desired.
- Interest in food and cooking is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Food Service Department Team Lead with department tasks.
- Interact with customers daily.
- Prepare food, including slicing meats, preparing sandwiches, and cooking fresh offerings.
- Share food knowledge with customers and Team Members.
- Lead, train, coach, and communicate with Team Members in the department.
- Support food safety, safety, and sanitation.
- Manage day-to-day production, merchandising, and quality control of department offerings.
- Drive department sales.
- Manage department labor and productivity.
